Princess Anne is celebrating her 74th birthday today. Princess Anne was born on 15 August 1950 in London. She is the only daughter and second child of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. The monarchy’s official social media accounts shared archive photos of the Princess, alongside the message: 'Wishing The Princess Royal a very Happy Birthday today!'
Among the pictures was a black and white photograph of a three-year-old Princess Anne with her older brother Prince Charles, then five and now the King, sat among the daffodils at Royal Lodge, Windsor, in 1954. The Royal Collection Trust posted a throwback portrait of Princess Anne as a 21-year-old. The black and white image was taken by celebrated fashion photographer Norman Parkinson in August 1971.

A beautiful lady and perhaps the “so British” of all the royal ladies.
I admire her solid independence and her non alignment with fashion/trends.

Nobody ask her to look like a 20 year old, but women over 70 these days can look younger than they are. Of course if you wear clothes that are 40 years old and you do you hair in an hairstyle my great grandmother used to have, not to speak of bad make-up or what is more important the lack of basic skin treatment. And by the way dear Rem, I am older that 74 and I look younger than I am. People are telling me regularly that I do not show my age.

I actually don’t think even the Princess Royal would describe herself as ‘a lovely looking woman’ She has grace and dignity for sure and has really nice skin . She’s also worked hard at maintaining an enviably slim figure. Most importantly, she’s unassuming and hard working and a real asset to the Royal Famil. Happy birthday, ma’am

I love the Princess Royal! She is and always has been a straight shooter and has never found it at all interesting to be in the public eye. She cares about her job, her patronages, her family, and her country. She is such an admirable lady. I hope she has a marvelously happy day on her birthday and has exactly the kind of day she wants! Happy Birthday, m'am!!!

What an unkind comment about Princess Anne’s looks. I think she is very attractive in her birthday photo. No one should feel less attractive as they age. There is no fountain of youth, especially for the person who made that comment!
